Behind the Booth

We are Debbie and Julie, the mom and daughter duo behind Boxwood. Julie here! Let me tell you a little bit more about my mom and her dream that is quickly becoming a reality.

For as long as I can remember, my mom has talked about owning her own store one day. She has always had a love for all things home decor, especially unique antiques and stunning vintage pieces. In fact, some of my fondest memories are of my sister and I exploring vintage stores with my parents while they searched for treasures and furniture to flip for our home.

My mom has always had such an eye for decor, so much so that she has helped countless friends design spaces in their own home. She would never admit it, but she certainly gives Joanna Gaines a run for her money. Maybe she will be the next Magnolia, or should I say Boxwood.

When I moved back home two years ago to start PA school, thrifting and antiquing became our favorite weekend activity. We would wander the aisles of stores and talk about what our own booth would look like one day.

Flash forward to May 2025, we got a call from our first store offering us a space. My mom was hesitant at first, but decided to take the leap and we haven't looked back since. Now, here we are. Several thousand followers across our socials, a very successful booth, and many, many more ideas of where this business can go next.

We are so thankful for all of the support that has gotten us to where we are today, and can't wait to see what is next for Boxwood.
